At the April 10th meeting, Ted and Lesley presented on safety issues, electronic logging devices, hours of service, sleep apnea, CSA and medical cards for CDL’s. Additionally, Ted covered the Missouri‘s “No Pay No Play” statute. Statue §303.390.1 provides that an uninsured motorist waives any ability to obtain noneconomic damages from an insured driver who is at fault.
The SAMMC is based in Springfield, Missouri and is focused on raising funds for the MoTRUCKPAC. SAMCC is a chapter of the Missouri Trucking Association. Funds raised at the events help with the legislative cost of keeping all Missouri truckers’ voices heard in Jefferson City. Guest speakers as well as regular attendees present information relevant to the trucking industry.
