Prior to studying law, Joseph obtained an undergraduate degree in History from Boston University. He then moved to Japan, where he lived and worked in Tokyo for several years before returning to the United States.

In practice since 2009, Joseph’s practice primarily focuses on civil defense and litigation involving coverage disputes, bad faith, and commercial and professional liability, as well as appellate work at the State and Federal level.

Joseph routinely represents clients in cases involving six and seven figure claims of recovery, from pre-suit up through to appeal. westWhile Joseph is a native of St. Louis, he obtained an undergraduate degree in History from Boston University, before moving to Tokyo, Japan, where he lived and worked for several years before returning to the United States to attend law school in California. In law school he made the Dean’s List, Pro Bono Honors Society, as well as worked as a summer associate for a Tokyo maritime firm, Toda & Co., followed by a fall clinical internship with a large Tokyo law firm, Nishimura & Asahi, in areas involving cross-border transactions and capital markets. Joseph lived and worked for several years in California, before moving back to the St. Louis region to be closer to home and family. He also served as an appellate clerk for the Honorable Lisa Van Amburg at the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District, before entering private practice in St. Louis.

In his free time he enjoys camping, hiking, soccer, and the outdoors. He is also a practitioner of Aikido, and member of the board for a local Aikido group.
